Sulfuric Acid

Sulfuric acid is commonly used to produce Biodiesel using a technique called acid esterification. The sulfuric acid attacks free fatty acids in the oil and allows methanol to attach to them to form Biodiesel instead of forming soap. We offer sulfuric acid in pre-measured bottles for use in the BioPro 190 Automated Biodiesel Processor as well as in larger bottles.

Acid esterification converts FFA to biodiesel.
